Randy Tanner, author of Project Timeslip Randy is a retired career Naval Officer. During his 25 years in the Navy, he has traveled the globe extensively, visiting and exploring the cultures of: Germany, France, England, Italy, Singapore, Israel, Iceland, Spain, Portugal, and the islands of Corfu & Rhodes, GR.
LCDR(ret) Tanner holds B.S. in Sociology, and an MBA in Information Technology Management. His professional credentials include DAWIIA certification in the Acquistion fields of: Life Cycle Logistics, Production Quality Manufacturing, Information Resource Management, and Program Management. And he is a registered member of the Department of Defense Acquisition Corps. His professional writing includes having published two professional articles and one technical manual, and drafting two policy instructions and five "How To" guides for Naval Aviation acquisition.
He has a decade of experience as a genealogist and Family History researcher, exploring his ancestral roots which trace back to Native American ancestry on both parental sides - Western Cherokee and the forgotten Chikamaka tribe who retreated high into the mountains of Middle Tennessee in the early 1800's. Future academic goals focus on an MS Edu (Curriculum Development) to eventually develop and teach Native American Studies.
Randy currently resides in Newport News, VA with his wife Betty, and serves as a government consultant to the Naval Air Systems Command. They share three children, Christopher, Nathan, and Sarah and eight grandchildren.
